Call 708-748-4431 to register for this program and to schedule a time to pick up your materials either the Thursday or the Saturday of the week before the program.
June 17 (No supply pick up for this one): Drinking Straw Challenge: I challenge you to design and build paper rockets, then see how far you can launch then using simple drinking straws. Have an adult take a picture of your finished rocket and then post it on our Facebook page as well as how far your rocket flew.
July 1 (kits available for the first 25 who register, you must pick up supplies either June 25 or 27): Drinking Straw Challenge: Learn how to use drinking straws and pipe cleaners to make joints, then see how tall a skyscraper you can build. Have an adult take a picture of your finished skyscraper and then post it on our Facebook page as well as how tall your building was.
July 15 (kits available for the first 25 who register, you must pick up supplies either July 9 or 11): Drinking Straw Challenge: Learn how to build drinking straw beam bridges and suspension bridges, then see which is stronger and how much stronger it is. Have an adult take a picture of your finished bridge and then post it on our Facebook page as well as how strong your bridge was.
